The Ragged Grin

 

Jeff Mays is the haunter behind The Ragged Grin.  This is an incredible haunt with some of the most fantastic scarecrows and other props!  

His aesthetic is very organic, with plenty of supernatural thrown in.  

 

Though I really LOVE the stuff he produces, the thing that I appreciate the most - the thing that draws me back again and again - are his sketches.

I've always wanted to be skilled at drawing.  It is so cool that Jeff shares his concept art with the world. There is something so visceral about a concept sketch.  The energy of an idea being captured in pencil and paper is unique.

Every year there is something new and cool, and every year we get new concept art to go with it.  Looking forward to his future work!
