THE FACE
Imagineering came out with The Face in 1979.
When I saw those ads, I could not believe it!
I had no idea who John Chambers was at that time, but I DID know I loved the Planet of the Apes. Maybe, just maybe, this kit could transform me just like it did those actors in 1968!
So sue me. I was a little kid and thought anything was possible.
I really wanted to get my hands on one of these, It promised a complete 3-D makeup it in every box! Flex-O-Skin sounded good to me.
Of course, what they actually were was thin foam two-piece masks meant to be glued down with spirit gum.
Still, it really fired my imagination.
