Sanctum of Horror - Home Haunt Gone Pro

About 7 years ago, Shawn and Shari Kaul decided it was time to go pro.  Their home haunt was getting massive attendance and it seemed like the thing to do.

They took their creativity and passion and rented a parking lot in a mall.  With the obvious exception of 2020, Sanctum of Horror has been going ever since.

Walking through Sanctum of Horror is a trip through the disturbed mind of a young girl named Lenore who has been infected by the evil of the sanitorium.

A few years ago they added The Breach. Buried beneath the desert, the secret military lab at Bunker 16 was experimenting with a bizarre leech.  Things went horribly wrong.

One of the things I love about their attractions is they have a pretty clear story driving each one.  Many of the haunts I have visited end up just a hodge-podge of props and scenes.  Many of those scenes may be cool, but I like to be part of a story - even if I never really know the WHOLE story.

All the scenes on Sanctum are or terrible things happening in the sanitorium.  Some are real.  Some may be imagined by Lenore.  The Breach stays clear of the usual "zombie outbreak" and has all kinds of interesting mutants and infestations.

Happy Halloween!
