Cryptids in AZ - Water Babies

 The Water Babies are a cryptid species that are said to inhabit bodies of water in Arizona, particularly in the Salt River and Verde River regions. They are said to resemble small humanoids, with round heads and chubby bodies.

According to legend, the Water Babies are highly territorial and will attack humans who enter their territory. They are also said to have the ability to manipulate water, creating whirlpools and waves to capsize boats and drown humans.

There have been several reported sightings of the Water Babies over the years. 

One of the earliest occurred in 1929, when a group of children swimming in the Salt River claimed to have seen several small humanoid creatures swimming alongside them. The children described the creatures as having round heads and chubby bodies, and said that they seemed to be communicating with each other in a language that the children could not understand.

Another reported sighting occurred in the 1960s, when a group of fishermen near the Salt River reported seeing several small humanoid creatures jumping out of the water and attacking their fishing lines. The fishermen described the creatures as being around two feet tall, with round heads and chubby bodies.
