Collection of the Accursed - Paintings

Have you heard of these cursed paintings?

The Crying Boy was one of a series of paintings by artist Giovanni Bragolin completed in the 1950s. The pictures proved popular all over the world.

In 1985, a fire broke out in a home with a print of this painting.  It was unharmed.  Over the next few years, dozens of fires were reported where the painting was present but unharmed.

The Anguished Man was reportedly created by painter who used his own blood in the paint and committed suicide soon after.  It is said to be haunted by that artist whose name has been lost.

The Hands Resist Him is an oil on canvas artwork painted by William "Bill" Stoneham in 1972.  It was lost for a time and rediscovered in 2000.  The woman who found it put it in her young daughter's room.  Thanks, MOM!

The girl complained she could not sleep and that the boy and doll would come to life and fight.  Allegedly, security cameras caught just such supernatural happenings.

Three paintings, three stories.  I suppose it would be possible to get images of these blown up and mounted for a museum.  It would ALSO be possible to find equally creepy pictures and come up with stories of your own.

A picture mounted via electromagnets can me made to fall on command.  Maybe it could be made to spin!  Fake fire using mist and colored lights might be a nice effect.    Maybe whispering can sometimes be heard.  All kinds of opportunities present!

Happy Halloween!
